Day 1:
At least half of the words in the English language are derived from Greek and Latin roots. Knowing these roots helps us to grasp the meaning of words before we look them up in the dictionary. It also helps us to see how words are often arranged in families with similar characteristics.
Considering this fact.. we will try to build our vocabulary by learning these root words.

Hello Everybody!!!!
This blog has just started. My aim is to provide an easy way to build up vocabulary. I believe just memorizing words is not the right way. Studies have shown that children start learning new words at a rate of many hundreds over a year since the age of four…..but in contrast adults who are no longer attending school increase their vocabulary at a pace slower than 25-50 words annually. Vocabulary cannot be build overnight. It is impossible to just mug up words.. even if one manage to do that, he will not be able to use them appropriately. The objective of this blog is to build up vocabulary gradually and in a more interesting way.
